A hat is a much smaller project than a sweater, even if it has a lot of cabling and it seemed to fly after so much time on the pullover, which continues to be bane of my knitting existence. Anyway, I got the hat finished in four days, which is saying something these days. The pattern is Gretel. I had the book version of the pattern, which is only in one regular size and only comes with written instructions. The instructions are a bit vague at certain points, but still I managed to complete the hat without any major hiccup. This is for my eldest daughter and goes with her cable yoke pullover. From the Blog jafar-haledilہمنے کبھی سوچا نہیں تھا کہ کسی کی یاد میں کبھی کچھ لکھنے کی نوبت آئے گی لیکن آج ہم بصد خوشی و مسرّت یہ سطور قلم بند کرنے کی سعاد ت حاصل کررہے ہیں۔ان کا ذکر کرنے سے پہلے تین دفعہ لاحول اور تین ہی دفعہ آیت الکرسی پڑھ کر پاس بیٹھے ہوئے پر دم کردیں لیکن خیال رکھیں کہ کوئی انجان خاتوننہ ہوں ورنہ آپ کا دم بھی نکل سکتا ہے۔۔۔ آمدم برسر مطلب۔۔۔ان کا نام ایسا تھا کہ اسکی وجہ سے اکثر وہ کبھی کھابے کھاتے اور کبھی قتل ہونے سے بال بال بچتے رہے لیکن عرف عام میں انہیں سجن دشمن سب "مردود" کے نام سے یاد کرتے تھے۔ اس کی بہت سی وجوہات تھیں لیکن سب سے بڑی وجہ ان کا موقع محل اور جھونپڑی دیکھے بغیر بولنا تھا۔ مرے پر سو درّے، جب وہ بولتے تھے تو زیادہ تر باقیوں کی بولتی بند کردیتے تھے۔ لہذا انہیں اتفاق رائے سے مردود کا نام دیا گیا۔ دوست احباب البتہ زیادہ جوش و خروش سے ان کی غیر موجودگی میں یہ نام دہراتےpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments

China Deal Could Set New FDI Records, End Energy Crisis in Pakistan

Two Days Of Being Starstruck

From the Blog noorsplaceOn a very peaceful, normal and busy Wednesday , I entered my college building and walked over to my faculty. On my way, the huge view of college could be seen. When I passed auditorium, there was a television show van at the back door of auditorium. And that show belonged to Pakistan's leading tv channel, Samaa. *OMG* *"Is there going to be a show or something?"* I thought. I had seen previous shows from same channel being recorded in different colleges but since I had 0% interest in morning shows, I just let it go. But now when I could see their van in MY college, all occupied with wires and tiny satellite placed on it, I was excited to see what might happen.
