From the Blog pkhope Founded on 30 November 1967, from the very beginning the Pakistan People’s Party had two strong groups within its fold: intellectuals and trade unionists with leftist leanings and feudal lords hailing mainly from rural Sindh. The party had image of a political force representing centre-left with a social democratic program. Although the National Awami Party was present with its pro-Moscow and pro-Beijing factions when the PPP was launched, the NAP was more known for its agenda of provincial autonomy than a progressive socio-economic manifesto. Global UGRAD Pakistan: A life changing experience for Pakistani Youth
From the Blog talalraza *By Talal Raza* Since 2009, hundreds of undergraduate Pakistani students have been provided with the opportunity to study at US colleges and universities under Global UGRAD Pakistan, a program sponsored by US department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Global UGRAD reunion 2012 in Islamabad During interviews with a number of Global UGRAD alumni, the scribe came to know that many Ugrad alumni aspire to pursue their graduate degrees in United States. In fact, a number of Global UGRAD Alumni have been selected on Fulbright Scholarship to pursue their Masters degree in United States.
