Reshuffled batting order of PTI shows that CHANGE is mere slogan

From the Blog hallopakistan*Why Imran Khan considered as the best captain ever produced by Pakistan's cricket because he selected players purely on merit and not afraid of taking risks. His meritocracy ended the career of his elder cousin and childhood hero Majid Khan who was once considered as the best stroke player of Pakistan. Not only Majid Khan but also careers of Zaheer Abbas and Sikandar Bakht were ended. Many accused him that he used them against Javed Miandad and later removed them in fear that they will not accept his dictatorship in team. However, his trust on young players likes of Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Aaqib Javed, Aamir Sohail, Inzamam Ul Haq, Mushtaq Ahemed, Ramiz Raja, Ijaz Ahmed, Mohin Khan made Pakistan a formidable team in late 80's and 90's. West Muztagh: bearer of the Balti footprint

From the Blog odysseuslahoriIn the heart of the glacial web of the central Karakoram Mountains where the snow leopard stalks Himalayan ibex and the golden eagle quarters the skies for snow partridges, the terrain seems all but impassable for humans. Even in that ice-bound fastness of towering peaks, there lies a breach that for long served as a connection between the Baltistan capital of Skardu and Yarkand in Turkistan. Accessible from the village of Askole by way of the Panmah Glacier, this is the New or the West Muztagh Pass, 5300 metres high and glaciated the year round. West Muztagh plays a junior role to its sister pass, however. Long before this pass was discovered, the people of Baltistan were travelling by one they simply called the Muztagh Pass. Belated Spring Sewing 2015

From the Blog ummeyusufMy excuse, for neglecting this blog for a month or so, is my being out of sorts. The burn-out left me with little inclination for craft of any kind. However, I had managed to do a few sewing projects prior to that and also cast-on a small knitting project. I will share to sewing projects here. I sewed a couple of tops for my eldest daughter. No pattern, nothing fancy, just a couple of simple cotton tops, embellished with some trims. The second one has a gather below the front placket and a box-pleat at the back. And, because I had some fabric leftover, I stitched a top for the youngest. (A similar pattern/tutorial pinned here.) I am working on another dress at the moment. Hopefully, I have enough fabric to complete it. pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 7788298379921309244 Pakistani Blog Posts

The Dissection of Grief - II

From the Blog gollgappayI have lately become very interested in our capacity and ability to cope with grief. There is an expression in Urdu that very aptly describes the feeling one has -- repetitively -- when one experiences loss. It literally translates into, “My heart is drowning.” *Mera dil doob raha hai*. This is so accurate when one is dealing with grief. The chest feels laden, air is inhaled in large gulps, and there is this acute sensation of not having one’s bearing in the world, sinking. Even immediately after experiencing a tragic loss, after drowning over and over, your body achieves homeostasis. You gravitate towards liquids at the very least to satiate your thirst even if your stomach will not accept solid food just yet. That, too, may be a physical manifestation of the psychology of grpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 8473906390966636270 Pakistani Blog Posts

So, I decided to share my current cravings on the blog as these are not only fun but also easy to keep track of. I do not want much right now and I am hoping to get all of these soon, therefore I have kept the list realistic. *1. The Body Shop English Dawn* *White Gardenia Mist* A few months back, while it was still new, I sniffed a tester of English Dawn and ever since then I have had it on my wishlist. The sculptor.

From the Blog randomlyabstract The lines on your face mapped the road to my heaven. Clay blended with the holy water of passion, I drew your face with utmost devotion. It took days and nights of sit and struggle, but the value of work was much more greater. I couldn't care less. To finally feel you, I could barter every other possession treasurable or not. I have always worshiped you in my heart, and now my worthless fingers will learn the true experience of touch and adoration—they will memorize what my heart had did years ago. The Week in Review #20: Leading with Values

This showed the level of importance that is given to hiring at the company. During the interview he mentioned the one thing that he looks out for during interviews is the an alignment with company values. Purpose and values go hand-in-hand. One states what you want to achieve, and the latter defines how you want to achieve it. Together they form the foundation on which a company is built. In the early days of a business, values are overlooked as a “nice to have”. They are left to be dealt with once the company grows to a certain size. The Pakistani authorities have now launched an investigation into the dealings of the company, the leading journalists recruited by Bol, an affiliate of Axact, have now left the new network, some for the reasons of “conscience.” For right now, the Pakistani government and media have discussed this story only from the perspective of Pakistan’s image in the world. But this, I suggest, is more than just an image problem. That a shady corporation selling fake degrees almost got away with launching a major media channel in Pakistan is what we should be looking at closely. Furthermore, this channel, funded by a fake corporation, pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 3864081410010286871 Pakistani Blog Posts

Love Never Dies

From the Blog sonyarehman *By Sonya Rehman* What happens when two brilliant poets are drawn to each other? What happens when they're separated by distance, but their connection to one another is so strong that the feeling between them continues to blossom, spreading its roots, strengthening its hold on their hearts? Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam, two widely successful poets, endured an ardent love for each other for many years on end, their works reflecting – directly and indirectly – the common bond, affection and passion. But their love story hung in limbo, it remained unfinished business; they could never be together, and, perhaps, in that very heartbreak there is beauty and inspiration. Why? Because Sahir and Amrita taught us what love really *is*. This year, early next month, Sopritti Events bpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments

National Anthem, Return of Cricket and Peace

From the Blog basitali[image: Cricket comes back to Pakistan] Cricket returns to Pakistan, Pakistan vs Zimbabwe in Lahore I was there, when the historic moment was happening right here in Lahore, the day when International cricket returned to Pakistan, returned to Lahore, returned to Gaddafi Cricket Stadium. Can you imagine, some 27000 people singing the national anthem? Paksitan's national anthem sung with their hearts and lungs out, the passionate Lahoris were so organized, so disciplined, so very positive that I couldn't believe myself. The scenes were amazing, the passion was great, the mood was festive, both the lights and the smiles were bright and the message was clear. We want peace, we want to defeat the negativity and we are a peaceful positive nation. Come visit us, anyone, everyone. Keeping the Youth Updated

From the Blog jasminecatchesbutterflies[image: Teenagers Website] While it is great to see teenagers these days even as young as thirteen know how to keep themselves groomed, what is the latest fashion piece and which is the swankiest place to dine at, I believe there is always more to keep an eye out for. So when I was introduced to Youth Tribune by my Tycoon advertiser of the month, I discovered a brilliant website that posts the latest news from around the world. It covers topics like technology news flash to scientific research articles and you guessed it right, it had me on science. I don't know about you, but I enjoy reading the type of content posted on IFLS because I am keen about science, so Youth Tribune was right up my alley, and let's be real, this stuff is way more interesting than gossiping over who worpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 1769582864306149687 Pakistani Blog Posts

The Best Caramel Popcorn EVER.

From the Blog khadijasayshi Sighhh. Well, now I've dunnit :/ I suppose Cupcake Jemma deserves half the blame, but the rest belongs to me. I've made something so easy and so addictive and so dangerous. Why did I crave toffee popcorn at midnight? Why did I MAKE toffee popcorn at midnight? Why did draw a fake tattoo on my arm three weeks ago? These are all questions no can really answer :/ But there's stuff I *can* answer. For instance, was the popcorn bonkers awesome? Indeed, it was. Will I make it again? You bet I will. Is the tattoo still there? Ummmm...lets get to the popcorn shall we? O:) I grew up devouring pack after pack of Korneez Toffee Popcorn...yup thats their name. From the Blog the-emo-wolverine-writesAssalamuAlaikum! I thought about sharing some personal things about myself today, particularly, about where I live and the friends I made. If you don't know yet, Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan. Although it's my location, I wouldn't exactly say I'm "from" here. Usually, when people talk about belonging to a place, it usually means that they've been living in that area for a very very long time. I've only been here for about five years and during this duration, I have probably not even gone out to see half the places worth going to. We moved here in the summer of 2009 (this year's summer will make it six years) into a house not so far away from my grandmother's place. Once we were here, the hunt for a school began. My mother's cousin suggested the very school I went topakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 922271459851989045 Pakistani Blog Posts
