Caramel Thumbprint Cookies

From the Blog bakefreshI love simple recipes, recipes that take minimum time and are nearly foolproof to be embraced by the beginners at baking as well as experts who find it hassle free. I had a coffee morning at my place last week for a bunch of lovely ladies and since there were lot of things on the menu (you will find a picture of the spread too incase you are curious;), I wanted a simple non-chocolatey cookie but also not just a plain cookie. These cookies were made in real quick time and while they were baking, the caramel was made. I garnished it with sea salt which is quite different and salty and relatively expensive than normal table salt. The kick it adds to really sweet things is unmatched. I am loving this new ingredient and trying it with different recipes. Will post you more about this bupakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 1964157083983630734 Pakistani Blog Posts

From the Blog faizansworld In this world so complex are implications so severe of being some person known as me. From earth to sky, from sky to galaxies, from galaxies to quasars, and beyond are thoughts of that person known as me. In moments, in unorganized clues, in soft pulsations of heart, in whispering of lips, in reality, in rumors, and in my stories is somewhere a person known as me. One, two, three, and all the way to billion, and all the way to trillion feelings have been floating around ceaselessly within mind of a person known as me. Pizza Hut Triple Treat Box Treasure

From the Blog jasminecatchesbutterflies[image: Pizza Hut Triple Treat Box]Pizza Hut Triple Treat Box PR Sample*As a pizza enthusiast, nothing new in the name of pizza escapes my taste buds, you know. Recently, Pizza Hut came out with an innovative idea by bringing out their latest deal in the form of this Triple Treat Box that can feed up to 5 people. The first story of the box has a lid while the other two can be opened up like a drawer. In this box, you get two regular size pizzas, 12 potato wedges, 6 chicken wings, 1 garlic mayo dip and 1 Hershey's cookie along with a 1.5-litre bottle of soft drink for a total of 1999 PKR exclusive of tax. Massive PTI Rally in Karachi – Goodbye MQM

From the Blog pkhope From Malir to Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi, it was a throbbing display of peoples' power by joint rally led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir, Sirajul Haq. It was a unique amalgamation of right wingers and a liberal outlook. Local government elections in Karachi on this Dec 5 are all set to be held. This time they will be arranged under the watchful eye of Pakistan army and so there is no chance for MQM to rig them on the polling day. The real worry is their threatening tactics before and after the elections. They showed that in NA246 by-elections. The massive street power shown by PTI yesterday proves yet again that Karachiites take Imran Khan as their savoir and political messiah. Black Friday in Pakistan?

Black Friday marks the start of the annual Christmas shopping season that accounts for about half the annual retail revenue and much of the profits earned by US retailers. Thanksgiving is a quintessential American holiday that commemorates the arrival of European "Pilgrims" fleeing religious persecution across the Atlantic. Pakistan: Patriotism and its hoaxes

From the Blog pakteahouse By Ali Bhurgri [image: pakistan] The most mislead, misconceived and tractable word. However, the importance of this tool in general can never be undermined. It is on paper, one of the most important mechanism through which a nation state is held together. My mind was clustered with several thoughts about what it really is? It had to be more than just waving a flag, standing up to your national anthem, loving your army and supporting your country in a cricket match. In a country of 190 million people, how does this mechanism work, if at all it works. The most intriguing, definition of patriotism i came across, was by Bertrand Russel, a British philosopher which I thought suits the practical application of the word in this country and I quote, ” Patriotism is the willingness to kpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 9150718190440736239 Pakistani Blog Posts

Imran Doesn't Care About Pakistani Law

From the Blog pkhope When in England, Imran Khan with his sons and daughters would never even think about violating British law. But in this hapless land of Pakistan, the thuggery of Imran is at its peak. He violates and ridicules law of land on daily basis. It's the weakness of the government to be fair that they always just limit themselves to the statement-mongering. Police, Election commission of Pakistan, and courts are kind of scared of Imran Khan. Federal and provincial governments also look the other way. What's the reason. Perhaps the reason is backing of Imran Khan by the establishment and the media. Governments and non-military state organs know that if they arrest or apprehend Imran Khan, all heck would broke loose and media would do its best to portray Imran as hero. From the Blog pkhope One of the decisive factors in the outcome of any elections is how far a political party is able to motivate and mobilize its supporters to cast vote. As the local bodies’ elections in Karachi are to be held on 5 December 2015, it appears that only the supporters of the MQM have sufficient motivation to go to the polling stations in large numbers. The Karachi Operation is in progress since September 2013 and, although it has targeted the Taliban and Lyari gangsters as well, the MQM seems to have succeeded in convincing the majority of ‘Mohajirs’ that the operation is primarily directed against them. Game Review: SCP Containment Breach

From the Blog the-emo-wolverine-writes SCP Containment Breach is an indie game based on the SCP website. Before I tell you about the game, I'll tell you a bit about the background. What is SCP? SCP is basically an acronym that stands for *Special Containment Procedures*. The SCP Foundation is a fictional organization that works in the shadows, collecting anomalies that would otherwise horrify mankind into mass hysteria and possibly the end of the world. The Foundation's motto is simple: *Secure*. *Contain*. *Protect*. The very first SCP- the thing that started this whole fictional world is a man-made monster, termed as SCP-173. A new world order

From the Blog pitafi The racist subtext of many political speeches and the growing obduracy of terrorist attacks lead you to think that civilisation is fracturing and collapsing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It has been 13 years since Samuel Huntington delivered that fateful lecture at the American Enterprise Institute in which he proposed that civilisations were about to clash, and many of us swallowed it hook, line and sinker. In his *Foreign Affairs* article that followed, Huntington borrowed the definition of civilisation from Arnold Toynbee. I have never quite been comfortable with that definition. Why? Because I believe there is only one civilisation going through various stages. There are countries more civilised than others, but they all are inextricable parts of one civilisatiopakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 1280332912818801344 Pakistani Blog Posts

From the Blog pkhope The two most serious problems that Pakistan faces today are religious extremism, with its manifestation in the form of terrorism and intolerance in the society, and corruption that is eating up the national resources. After the tragedy of Army Public School, Peshawar of 16 December 2015, it appeared that the nation had resolved to get rid of the scourge of terrorism come what may. Perhaps, after the September 1965 War with India this was the first occasion when the nation demonstrated complete unity of purpose on a national issue. The Week in Review # 41: The Importance of Feedback Loops

From the Blog usmansheikh Failure is part of the human experience. All of us have been in situations where we have made mistakes. A person’s true character is revealed in how they deal with the mistake. The first step requires us to take responsibility. This is easy to do when the stakes are small. Our true character is revealed as the size of mistakes become larger. At this point our ego and sense of self comes into question. Admitting a mistakes takes courage. It requires one to make themselves vulnerable. We do our very best to avoid being in that position. We will re-frame the situaton or come up with excuses that seem very logical. The problem is our world view is very different from reality. We have blinded ourselves from seeing the real picture due to the absence of a strong feedback system. Mr. Jahanzeb Gurchani – a renowned television actor was the guest speaker. The discussion was carried out in the SBS library in a manner that encouraged the audience to open up to the guest speaker and narrate their experiences. Mr. Gurchani was delighted to be part of such a bright group of students who asked meaningful questions. A major reason for this openness can be attributed to the fact that Mr. Gurchani used his own run-ins in life to highlight the wrongs of this social issue. pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments 5748090905576995286 Pakistani Blog Posts

I remember whenever I finished a book, I would write down the best things about that book and tell everyone about it. It often included the best lines/quotes from that book. I still do that. I have a notebook that holds all the precious words I keep finding from my new reads. Though most of the passages are from the story-line, they still make sense if you read them separately, resulting in ultimate inspiration. The more you read them, the more inspiring they seem to be.
