It has now been more than a year that I've moved out of Karachi but all the spammy texts I received in this period were mostly for services and products based in Karachi. More recently, however, it seems that the spam SMS operators have figured out that I am not in Lahore and the texts I receive now are more for products and services that are Lahore based. I still remember when I arrived in Karachi from Singapore, like, 4 years ago and reactivated my Lahore number and started using it in Karachi. Back then, there were fewer spammy texts, but because of the number format, perhaps, they figured I was from Lahore and so most of them were for Lahore. Bath and Body Works had a sale that was so hard to resist, therefore I took full advantage of it! Normally, I don't shop for clothes during sales because all the good stuff sells out and sizes are an issue. Products like lotions, hand washes and candles are different- who doesn't like stocking up on them? I also went to Sephora and Harvey Nichols- and bought some makeup because I have a shopping problem. I went twice to Bath and Body Works. The first day I went to Bath and Body, Sephora and Harvey Nichols. I bought- 2 hand washes, 2 body washes (for men), lotion, and 4 hand sanitizers. It was actually Seman (with a nasal ending) which ended up wrongly spelled in some shoddy guide book and thus passed into tourists' usage. There are actually two of the same name, both multi-storeyed, facing each other across a wide street. Taking a room in the older one which has the old Russian Consulate in its backyard, I called Keyoum Mohammad of Kashgar Mountaineering Adventures with whom I had corresponded from Lahore. The old quarter of Kashgar as seen from the north. Strangely, pictures dating back to the 1880s do not show a town on a high mound, but one flush with the flat ground. A trek to Chitta Katha lake (Exploring Neelum valley & heavens of Kashmir) Part II

From the Blog formerlydelirious We left Ath Muqam just after 3 o clock in the afternoon. The drive was immensely scenic. Road though narrow was metallic to start with interspersed with springs and water falls that bisected it, every now and then. The roaring river Neelum flows all along, it's boundaries marked by lush green thickly forested slopes. Heavily guarded, we encountered the Military check posts and structures frequently. At the scenic spot of Karen, the divided states of Indian and Pakistani Kashmir converge together with only the narrow strip of river separating the two. The picturesque villages, fields, houses and mosques were clearly visible across the border as the drive along the line of control continued for quite a few kilometers. Inglot Gel liner #77

From the Blog cenamzbeautyblogHello everyone, so I am back with much awaited review of Inglot Gel Liner in black #77 which I bought few months ago, didn't want to write about it that time cause I wanted to see how long does it take to dry out, so here I go :) My first thought was the packaging, it was too small and too cute, catch of the eye was it's plastic container unlike MAC which uses glass containers. On the cap it has a silver seal which keeps the air away unlike my wetnwild gel liners their seal comes off and I had to struggle with it everytime I wanted to place it back on. (both of them dried out in no time) This is how much I've used in about 3 months and trust me when I say I use it every day!!.. Here's a clear picture. Is Pakistan Ready For Long Sustained Anti-Terror Campaign?

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for most of the attacks. In response, Pakistan ordered air-strikes against TTP targets in Tirah Valley (Khyber Agency) and Mir Ali (North Waziristan) in FATA. This was the first time in several years that the Pakistan Air Force jets pounded TTP hide-outs. From the Blog theajmals جمعہ 17 جنوری 2014ء کو جب میں اسلام آباد میں تھا تو میرے ساتھ ایک دلچسپ واقعہ پیش آیا ۔ سوچا کہ اسے عام کر دیا جائے تاکہ سادہ لوح جوان کہیں نقصان نہ اُٹھا لیں ۔ سہ پہر کے وقت مجھے بتایا گیا کہ باہر کوئی شخص آیا ہے ۔ میں گھر کے دروازہ سے نکل کر گیٹ کی طرف روانہ ہوا ۔ وہ شخص مجھے دیکھ کر بے تکلفی سے گیٹ کھول کر میری طرف چل پڑا ۔ میں نے قریب پہنچ کر سلام کیا تو بولا اجنبی "آپ نے پہچانا نہیں ؟"۔ میں "نہیں" اجنبی "آپ کہاں سے ریٹائر ہوئے تھے ؟" میں "کیوں تمہارا تعلق واہ سے ہے ؟" اجنبی "میں کریم داد کا بیٹا ہوں" اجنبی نے بال کالے اور داڑھی مہندی رنگ کی ہوئی تھی اور اُس کی عمر ساٹھ سال یا زیادہ تھی ۔ پاکستان آرڈننس فیکٹری میں ایک ڈرائیور کریم داد تھا ۔ اُس کا بیٹا اتنی زیادہ عمر کا نہیں ہو سکتا تھا ۔ لیکن اصل بات یہ تھی کہ کیا یہ اُسی کریم مداد کی بات کر رہا ہے ؟ اگر ہے بھی تو میرا اُس سpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments

Disappointments with my friends

From the Blog united4justice I really hate myself while writing this but need to write it to give an honest view point. I am really disappointed with almost all of my Shia friends who support this war. I thought there must be some good significant number of Shias in Pakistan who don't blindly toe the line of that Jerk Khemenei or Seestani but here it seems its not the case and almost all are determined to push not only their selves in this more war mess and resulting terrorism but also others too. Almost all my Shia friends cannot see the fact they are being used as a fuel for this war by Pakistani and other pro-war establishments including their beloved Khomenist regime in Iran.
