Put simply, Qawwali - the subcontinental variant of the traditional Sufi practice of Samaa - consists of the sayings and utterances of the Saints, set to music. However, a very specific subset of the repertoire consists of compositions known as Qauls. Amy, after fighting hard, passed away on 23rd March. Project Semicolon has been something that has been with me for a while now. I got introduced to it a few years ago, thanks to Tania, an old friend, and since then it has only given my strength. My struggle with mental health, and my support to the mental health warriors has only found new strengths since then, and it continues to grow. Because of Amy, a simple punctuation mark has become a symbol of hope, and the determination to continue the story no matter what. It was indeed utterly saddening to hear about Amy's passing. Yarnwise, I decided to switch to thread and crochet a new doily for my dresser. The last one was made about four year ago and has been out of use for a while. The pattern was straight forward enough, till the edging. The edging isn't charted. And trying to work through rows of instruction, with a toddler tugging at my shirt and another child jumping on the sofa, and someone else wanting a response from me, every other minute, was hard.
