From the Blog ayesha According to Wikipedia Pakistan's latest estimated population is 207,774,520 (excluding autonomous regions Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan) and it is said 6% of our total population is #thalassemia carrier which means 12466471 almost 1 crore 25 lac people are thalassemia minor. And the marriages between two thalassemia minor is the only reason to increase thalassemia major births in Pakistan. Please get yourself tested to know your thalassemia status.
