From the Blog theajmals جب 1964ء میں لاہور میں پاکستان میں پہلا ٹیلی ویژن چینل شروع ہوا تو ایک بزرگ نے کہا "شیطانی چرخہ شروع ہو گیا"۔ یہ بات ہم جوانوں کو اچھی نہ لگی کیونکہ ہم سمجھتے تھے کہ ٹی وی کے بغیر ہماری معلومات ادھوری رہیں گی اور ہم ترقی نہیں کر سکیں گے ۔ پھر جب 15 سال قبل پرائیویٹ چینل شروع ہوئے اور 5 سال میں کھُمبیوں (mushrooms) کی طرح پھیل گئے تو اُس دور کے جوانوں نے خوشیوں کے شادیانے بجائے کہ اب تو عِلم کے دہانے کھُل گئے ۔ پاکستان کے عوام دن دُونی رات چوگنی ترقی کرنے لگیں گے اور ہر آدمی کے پاس عِلم کا اتنا خزانہ آ جائے گا کہ سنبھالنا مُشکل ہو جائے گا ۔ یہی کچھ کم نہ تھا انٹرنیٹ عام ہوا تو نام نہاد سوشل میڈیا بھی میدان میں کود کر چوکڑیاں بھرنے لگا جب سنبھلنے کا موقع ملا تو سال 2010ء گذر چکا تھا ۔ احساس ہوا کہ سوشل میڈیا نے لوگوں کو غیر سوشل بنا کر رکھ دیا ہے اور اُنہیں گِرد و پیش کی بھی خبرpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
Goyal Foil: Pakistan-Obsessed Indian-American at the White House

Goyal has been at the White House for over a decade. In 2002, the Washington Post said that Goyal can always be relied upon to "ask about the perfidies of Pakistan". His coverage of Pakistan reflects the Indian media's malice toward Pakistan. "The ability to change the subject is an important tool for the press secretary." George W.Bush's White House Press Secretary Joel Lockhart admits to using a foreign reporter as a foil.
