From the Blog cricnama کرکٹ ہو سکتا ہے دیکھنے والوں کے لیے ایک تفریح ہو، لیکن کھیلنے والے یہ جانتے ہیں کہ یہ صرف کھیل نہیں ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ بیٹسمین سر سے لے کر پیر تک تمام تر حفاظتی سازوسامان کے ساتھ میدان میں اترتا ہے۔ قریب کھڑے ہوئے وکٹ کیپر اور فیلڈرز بھی ہیلمٹس اور پیڈز کا استعمال کرتے ہیں تاکہ کسی بھی غیر متوقع شاٹ کے نتیجے میں اپنی حفاظت کر سکیں کیونکہ باؤلر کی پھینکی گئی یا بیٹسمین کی جانب سے لگائی گئی کوئی بھی گیند جان لیوا ہو سکتی ہے۔ ہم نے ماضی قریب ہی میں دیکھا ہے کہ کس طرح ایک "بے ضرر" سے باؤنسر نے آسٹریلیا کے ابھرتے ہوئے اوپنر فلپ ہیوز کی زندگی کا خاتمہ کیا۔ 25 نومبر 2014ء کو شیفیلڈ شیلڈ ٹرافی کے ایک مقابلے کے دوران شان ایبٹ کا ایک اٹھتا ہوا باؤنسر کھیلنے کی کوشش ناکام ہوئی اور گیند ہیوز کے ہیلمٹ سے نیچے سر کے نچلے حصے میں لگی۔ وہ چند ثانیے کھڑے رہے اور پھر منہ کے بل گرکر بے ہوش ہوگئے، pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
