From the Blog news: Warid had earlier been put up for sale twice by its parent, the Abu Dhabi Group, only to find hesitant suitors, according to Business Recorder. It avoided the 3G/4G spectrum auction that took place in April last year. A year and a half ago, the fifth-ranked telco didn look likely to stick around for long. Photo by Lexie Don, courtesy Frances Christie. A quick update from Oz: my aunt Ruqaiya Hasan is improving, slowly but steadily. She was discharged from hospital and is now in another to receive palliative rehabilitation care until she is strong enough to return home, which the doctors hope will be in a couple of weeks.
