Target Killing of Christians in Pakistan

From the Blog sarahinsouthkorea Once again Christians under attack in Pakistan where the state has completely failed to save the lives of the people. On Sunday two suicide bombers attacked a landmark 19th century church in Peshawar, killing 75 people and wounding dozens more. The bombers struck soon after Sunday service, just as hundreds of worshippers were streaming out of the All Saints Church in the northwestern city's old quarter. The church is one of the most famous in Pakistan, noted for its colonial history (it was built in 1883 by a British officer) and its elegant, white-walled and domed design that resembles many of the old mosques in this Muslim-majority country. By Yasser Latif Hamdani As the nation comes to grip with the horrible massacre of Christians in Peshawar, Haider Maududi on Duniya TV (which shamelessly said "jo kachra saaf kartay thay un ka safaya ho giya) decided to muddy the waters by claiming that this was bound to happen in a country founded in the name of religion. FACT: This fiction that Pakistan was founded in the name of religion is the doing Haider Maududi's father Maulana Abu Ala Maududi (who had in 1947 opposed the makers of Pakistan.) FACT: Abu Ala Maududi was behind the 1953 riots against Ahmadis and resorted to violence against Ahmadis which that community faces even today. From the Blog khawarkingجاپان میں ایک سیاسی جماعت کے عہدے دار ہیں جی اعجاز رفیق صاحب ۔ ایک دن انہوں نے سوال جڑ دیا کہ خاور صاحب دانش ور ، اور ادیب میں کیا فرق ہے؟ اعجاز رفیق کو تو میں نے اس جواب پر ٹرخا دیا کہ دانش ور وہ ہوتا ہے ، جس کے پاس دانش ہو اور ادیب وہ ہوتا ہے ہے جو ادب لکھے۔ لیکن اج بات کرتے ہیں کچھ دانش پر ، عقل پر اور علم پر کہ عقل مند وہ ہوتا ہے جو موجود اور رائج کی سمجھ رکھتا ہو اور اس علم سمجھ سے فائدے اٹھاتا ہو ۔ عقل مند اپنی زندگی کو مطمعن بناتا ہے ، موجود اور رائج کاروباری معاملات معاشرتی معاملات کو اپنی ضرورت کے مطابق استعمال کرکے۔ دانش ور وہ ہوتا ہے جو موجود اور رائج کی کی سمجھ بھی رکھتا ہو اور اس موجود اور رائج سے مطعمن بھی نہ ہو۔ دانش ور کی سوچ میں ایک اضطراب ہوتا ہے ۔ دانش ور کا یہ اضطراب اس کو مسلسل ، موجود اور رائج چیزوں میں بہتری لانے پر مضطرب رکھتا ہے!۔ حتی کہ دانش مند ایک عpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments
