PCB Pays Rs.120 Million to Cover BCCI's Legal Cost

From the Blog propakistani The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has paid Rs. 120 million to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as per orders from the International Cricket Council (ICC). The international cricket governing body had ordered PCB in December last year to bare 60 percent of the cost incurred by BCCI during the two boards' legal battle over a bilateral series agreement. It all started when the Indian cricket board denied visiting Pakistan as per 'the agreement' PCB claimed was signed in 2014. The two board tried to sort it out mutually, and upon failure, former chairman PCB decided to take the matter to ICC's dispute panel and demanded a $71 million compensation. Govt to Conduct an External Audit of Gas Bills Issued in December 2018

The Federal Minister for Finance, Asad Umar, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy on Wednesday. The meeting was specially called on the instructions of the Prime Minister to look into the matter of inflated gas bills to the consumers. FBR Reduces Sales Tax for Online Websites

From the Blog propakistani The government has decided to reduce the sales tax for earnings made via online websites. A 6 percent sales tax will be applicable on online sales made through websites after providing the sale data transmitted to the Federal Board of Revenue's (FBR) Computerized System through the prescribed integration software. FBR has amended Sales Tax Rules, 2006 through an SRO 180(1)/2019 issued on Monday to facilitate online sales made through websites. The standard rate of sales tax is 17 percent but the online sales can avail a lower rate of 6 percent sales tax if they register with the FBR's system under FBR rules and provide necessary data. Fitch: Pakistan Construction Industry to Grow 8.9% Yearly Over Next 5 Years

I always had the feelings that the bright colors are attractive and therefore feminine. They don't have grace. But now my feelings changed. I now feel that one colors are independent of gender or sex. After all, we do not have a written code on conduct for the colors. Little Knits

From the Blog ummeyusufThis winter, my knitting has been sporadic at best. I just managed to finish a few small projects and worked on and off on a larger one. The first small project that got completed was a vest for my seven-year-old. It was entirely a utility project as my daughter needed a warm underlayer to her winter clothes and I needed to use up some yarn that I quite disliked. So there it is. The second small project was a pair of fingerless gloves for my daughter's friend. The design was selected by the recipient. This pair knit up quick and again used up some of my stash. The bigger project that is so near completion is a sweater for my eldest daughter. Govt Rejects Subsidy in The New Hajj Policy

The decision to turn down the subsidy was taken in a federal government meeting today. The government, instead, vowed to provide maximum facilities to Hajjis. Moody's Expects Pakistan's New Mini Budget to Foster Exports and Import Substitution

I've never been one to make a big hue and cry about hiding my age or stressing about hitting the big 3-0, in fact, when I turned 30, I was utterly excited. The 20s are an extended trial and error decade you see – where you fumble through the world, knocking things over, falling over and just being a complete blubbering little disaster. But when I turned 36 this year, I was gripped by quiet panic. I felt like I was in a Mindy Kaling sitcom; Freeze the eggs! So many things to do! To write! Man to meet! Places to see!
