What is State Bank's Policy Rate & How Does It Impact All Pakistanis?

From the Blog propakistani The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has left the interest rate unchanged at 13.25 percent. However, it previously increased its policy rate by 100 basis points (1 percent) on July 16 to 13.25 percent in the face of increasing inflation rate and higher utility costs. Those who follow the news keenly would notice that the SBP has been increasing the policy interest rate frequently in the past. In fact, the central bank has raised the policy rate nine times by a total of 750 basis since the beginning of the last year. But why? What makes the State Bank increase or decrease the interest rate? Flicking through the past SBP's monetary policy announcements reveals a pattern. From the Blog seems77 ایمان اور اسلام میں کیا فرق ہے؟ اسلام راستہ ہے ، اور ایمان منزل۔ پر یہ جو دوسرے مذاہب کے لوگ ، اور کچھ علماء بھی کہتے ہیں ، کہ سب مذاہب ایک ہی اصول پر قائم ہیں ، بس روپ کا فرق ہے۔ شاید ہاں ۔ پر یقیناً نہیں۔ کیسے؟ اگر سب مذاہب دراصل ایک ہی ہیں ، اور صرف روپ کا فرق ہے ، تو پھر اُن کے پیروکار ایک جیسے کیوں نہیں؟ یہ تو پیروکاروں کا مسئلہ لگتا ہے، مذاہب کا نہیں۔ یہ پیروکاروں سے زیادہ اُس مذہب کا مسئلہ ہے ، جو وقت کے ساتھ فکری و عملی ارتقاء کا حامل نہیں ہو سکا ، لہٰذا اسکے ماننے والے بھی نہیں ہو سکے۔ پر مذہب کا ارتقاء ، پیروکار کا کام تو نہیں ہے ناں۔ بالکل۔ آپ سمجھ گئے۔ مذہب کا ارتقاء وہی کرے گا ، جس نے مذہب کو پیدا کیا ، اور جو ایک سے بہتر ایک مذہبی فکر دُنیا میں لایا ، حتیٰ کہ دین مُکمل ہو گیا۔ پر ، کہنے والے تو یہ بھی کہتے ہیں کہ منزل ایک ہی ہے ، بس راستے مُختلف ہیں۔ یہ باتpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments
