نیوزی لینڈ کے ہاتھوں شکست باعثِ رحمت؟
From the Blog cricnama پاکستان کو دورہ نیوزی لینڈ کے پہلے مرحلے میں کلین سُوئیپ کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ چیمپیئنز ٹرافی کی خوابناک کامیابی، اس کے بعد سری لنکا کو ایک، دو نہیں تمام پانچ مقابلوں میں شِکست دے کر شاہین بُلندیوں پر اُڑ رہے تھے، لیکن نیوزی لینڈ پہنچتے ہی اِن کے پر یوں کتر لیے جائیں گے؟ یہ تو وہم و گمان میں بھی نہیں تھا۔ پاکستان کی بیٹنگ تو خیر ہمیشہ ملک کی طرح نازک موڑ پر رہتی ہے، لیکن نیوزی لینڈ کے نسبتاً سازگار حالات میں قومی باؤلرز کا بھی ناکام ہونا مایوس کُن تھا۔ سیریز میں سب سے زیادہ رنز بنانے والے کھلاڑیوں میں ٹاپ 5 میں صرف ایک پاکستانی بیٹسمین ہیں، فخر زمان کہ جنہوں نے 4 میچز میں 150 رنز بنائے۔ اُن کے بعد محمد حفیظ کے 148 رنز ہیں اور حیران کُن طور پر تیسرا نام نہ بابر اعظم کا ہے، نہ اظہر علی کا، نہ کپتان سرفراز احمد کا اور نہ ہی شعیب ملک کا بلکہ یہ ہیں شاداب خان، جنہوں نے 140 رنز اسکور کpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
Daily Stock Report: PSX Starts the Week with 93 Point Loss

At close, Pakistan Stock Exchange's (PSX) benchmark KSE 100-share Index recorded a loss of -93.83 points, or 0.21 %, to end at 44,457.30 points. The market saw volatility today. The market saw an intraday high of more than +304 with Commercial Banks buying helping the index bring up the gain today. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased the policy rate by 25 basis points to six per cent to pre-empt the overheating in the economy and inflation breaching its target rate. It also saw an intraday low of -214 points during the day today. Some analysts espoused the view that this raise would lift investors' renewed optimism.
