Sultans Turkish: Brisbane's Cure for Pardesi Food Cravings
From the Blog cheflingtales When you move to a foreign country (we're known as pardesis) the one thing you miss most in the whole world is your own kind of food. As a Pakistani in Australia, it breaks my heart every time I eat out. I miss the spicy food, the masalas that make our mouth water, the taste of "maa ke hath ka khana" (mom's cooking). The seemingly bland taste foreigners are used to is just not for me. I love eating chatkhara, roll parathas and gol gappay. With this in mind, I began to hunt for a spot in Brisbane that would give me that delicious eastern flavor. Of the precious few I found, there was one that I found exceptional — Sultans Turkish Family Restaurant.
