Is this PTI Protest or Election Campaign?
From the Blog pkhope On December 2014, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan announced end of its four-month long protest sit-in in Islamabad which was staged against the government of PM Nawaz Sharif, demanding his resignation over the alleged rigging in 2013 parliamentary elections. PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) ended their protest sit-in due to the situation of the country and in the light of attack on a school in Peshawar. PTI could not reach its demands to get the resignation of PM Nawaz Sharif or holding of re-elections on the constituencies where according to PTI wide spread rigging was reported. However, PTI succeeded to demonstrate its political power by mobilizing the masses against the government.
