World Marrow Donor Day & Some Memories
From the Blog ayesha Sorry in advance for the lengthy post [image: 😉] 17th September 2016 was World Marrow Donor Day and it bought back so many memories to me.. Just after few months of baji [eldest sister] wedding back in 1998 we lost Noman bhai at the age of 16 due to less awareness & knowledge regarding proper blood transfusion and iron chelation, he passed away with iron overload and we two [Salman & I] kept wondering what is going to happen next. After Noman bhai's funeral dad got to know regarding bone marrow transplant being performed in India and has great success rates, all we need is a 100% matched HLA donor & 25 lacs for each patient. Mom, dad, sister, first cousins all got tested for HLA donor [still in debt for their efforts :)], none of them matched us.. but we both were 100% matcpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
Who Am I?
From the Blog pakteahouse *By Anonymous* I was born in a Muslim family, hence it was expected from me that I become a practicing Muslim as well. My mom was my first teacher about religion, she taught me that our religion is about truthfulness and honesty. My father hardly ever offered Namaz, but my mom told me that he is a very pious man. He is working as a civil servant in a government job and never takes bribes, ensuring he earns rizq-e-halal and that means a lot when everyone is running after money. The things I read in textbook about our Prophet (PBUH) was that he was a very honest man, kept promises, never told a lie and people around him trusted him because of these qualities.
