From the Blog faizansworld About two hundred years ago, a fierce battle was fought between Talpur Emirs of Sindh and soldiers of British East India Company at Miani. Sindh was breathing its last as an independent state of India soon to be chained into slavery by the mighty British. Peaceful Sindhis came out of their homes, untrained and unarmed, and hurriedly reached the battlefield with whatever they could grab. But worn out swords and smooth less sticks were no match to the speedy bullets and heavy cannon fires. Hence, they were all bound to perish. The result was obvious, nine out of ten sons of soil merged into that same soil leaving behind only women and children.
