BLEAK FUTURE FOR THE PAK SARZAMEEN PARTY
From the Blog pkhope The Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) aspires to emerge as the main alternative to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and, if possible, to replace it as the representative of urban Sindh. However, the foremost hurdle in the way of the PSP is the general perception of the Urdu-speaking community that the PSP has the backing of the ‘Establishment’ and the purpose of its launching is to break the unity of the ‘Mohajirs’. By claiming that they can seek amnesty for the MQM workers under detention or involved in crimes, the PSP leaders have reinforced the perception that they enjoy confidence of the Establishment. This is proving counter-productive for the PSP.
