PEMRA to issue 3 DTH (Digital TV) licenses
From the Blog smartchoice Recently PEMRA(Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority) has announced that it will be issuing 3 DTH(Direct-to-Home) Licenses to companies interested in establishing and operating DTH services and distribution in Pakistan. Earlier, PEMRA held a pre-bidding conference on Friday, 9th October 2015, at its headquarters in Islamabad. A large number of potential investors including some local companies, mobile network operators and international players including Chinese and Russian companies attended the conference. PEMRA Acting Chairman Kamaluddin Tipu addressed the conference. The bidding/auctioning and the list of provisional winners is scheduled for 7th December, 2015.
