From the Blog khawarkingمیں نے اپنی زندگی میں کسی شخصیت کا انتظار کیا جانا دیکھا ہے تو وہ تھے ۔ باسی والا گاؤں کے جان محمد ، جان محمد ڈاکیا!!۔ ستر کی دہائی میں جب عربوں میں مزدوری کے لئے جانے کا ٹرینڈ نیا نیا چلا تھا ، ان دنوں کی بات ہے کہ ابھی فون تو تھے نہیں ، تو سب لوگ خط کا انتظار کرتے تھے ،۔ ڈاکخانے میں گاؤں کے درجنوں لوگ جان محمد ڈاکئے کا انتظار کر رہے ہوتے تھے اور ہر روز کرتے تھے ۔ جان محمد ڈاکیا باسی والا سے ڈاک نکال کر گاؤں آتا تھا ، جہاں سے تلونڈی کی ڈاک نکال کر تھیلوں میں بند کر کے جنڈیالے پہنچتا تھا ۔ یہاں جنڈیالے باغ والے میں ڈاک کا تبادلہ ہوتا تھا ،۔ جان محمد نے ڈاک کا تھیلا ، جنڈیالہ باغ والا سے اٹھانا ہوتا تھا ، جہان ڈاک کا تھیلا لے کر دوسرا ڈاکیا پہنچتا تھا ،۔ جنڈیالے سے تھیلے لے کر ایک تھیلا پیرو چک پہنچا کر ایک تھیلا گاؤں لانا ہوتا تھا ، اس کے بعد ایک تھیلا لے کر باسی وpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments

The Week in Review # 39: The Big Rocks

From the Blog usmansheikh I dropped the ball with my blog in October. The first half of the month was spent with my cousin who recently got married! The second half was spent travelling and spending time with my family. The month was filled with great memories that will last a lifetime. This month helped put into perspective the important of prioritizing the big rocks in our lives. As entrepreneurs we spend our time working from one big deal to the next. During this period we often forget the larger priorities in our life. The two big ones that often get overlooked are family and our health. Neglecting these in the short term has a very slight impact on our lives. However, left unattended they tend to snowball out of control.
