My Mother
From the Blog shahabesaqib Bushra Bibi is my mother, she has many different roles to fill in her life. She is caring sister, daughter, care giver, wife, friend, and for me, I have the blessing of being able to call her ‘Mom’. She is not formally educated but she indeed is an exceptional wife, the kind of respect for my dad, she instilled in us is simply superb. She raised five children into adulthood, she did it well. Her love is boundless and her energy unmatched. She is a source of inspiration to more people than she will ever know. The three of us siblings have all received our education and are independent and self-supporting and two are still having fantastic study ; my parents expected nothing less, and we did our best to make them proud. My father wanted it that way and my mother encouraged and supppakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
Mothers day
From the Blog pamirtimes[image: Mothers Day]Rizwan Karim Women has a special status at every stage of her life, as a daughter, as a wife and as a mother. Rumi in his poetry considers women far more powerful then men, and he describes this power by calling women as second creator. A mother cares and loves her children at every stage, it doesn’t whether her child is a winner or loser, a criminal or a drug addict, she still cares and loves her children. Once my mother was too tired to make herself a cup of tea and she asked me to make it for her, and I refused to do so. And I left the house after almost two or thpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
The Week in Review #18: Seneca on Gratefulness
From the Blog usmansheikh After listening to a podcast with Ryan Holiday and Tim Ferriss earlier this year, I started reading some books on Stoicism. Currently I am reading “Letters from a Stoic” by Seneca. It has been a fascinating read. I have never highlighted and bookmarked a book as much as this one. Yesterday I came across a passage which really resonated with me. This particular letter was on gratefulness and it’s importance in our daily lives. My favorite passage is reproduces below. “The ungrateful man tortures and torments himself; he hates the gifts which he has accepted, because he must make a return for them, and he tries to belittle their value, but he really enlarges and exaggerates the injuries which he has received. And what is more wretched than a man who forgets his benefits and clinpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
