They have taken the first step but have they given an ear to the adage: “Watch out for the first step”? You see, important was not who they select but how they select. Also, will it reveal a policy statement that they might not convey overtly? After all selection is a long term game. It’s like chess. You play to a strategy and plan several moves ahead. Gilgit: 2800 trees could be chopped down to construct a govt building
From the Blog pamirtimes[image: 11093196_423012651194996_1289767701_n]With reporting by Abdul Rehman Bukhari Gilgit, April 12: The Gilgit-Baltistan administration is reportedly planning to destroy a 50 kanal wide forest complex in the Jutial area of Gilgit, to construct a government building. According to sources, the administration has bowed down to pressure from a certain organization to chop down the more than 2800 trees grown over a long period of time by the government, using tens of millions of rupees form the national exchequer. Chopping down of the trees, apart from destroying the region’s beauty, is also likely to destabilize the city’s environment.
