Talks or action against talibna / TTP: Dilemma for Pakistan. Why not have a referendum ?
From the Blog ppakistanFor several years, politicians, people and section of media is asking for operation against taliban / ttp. However, there is a lot of uncertainty and fear about back lash and fall out from the operation. The same thing happened during lal masjid operation, where people and media demanded for operation against the culprits, but later start crticising the government for use of the military tactics and the way it was perforned. When you perform an action against militants, it can go either way, with any party taking any adverse affect. However, to remove the uncertainty among people and leaders, why not the government have a refrendum with the people of pakistan. 2014 - The Year of No Resolution
From the Blog beanbagtalesIt's not a good idea to pen down resolutions and keep them neatly in a folder. You're bound to find the paper (or papers if you are ambitious) when you're throwing out the old to make space for the new (an exercise some of us indulge in when the new year starts) and once you've come across those lined sheets there is no other option but to make a trip to the guilt motel. After making several trips to the guilt motel last year, I have deleted the word resolution from my life. Resolutions, in my experience, are dangerous creatures. When I made resolutions last year, which I duly noted down, I limited myself to those six or seven points.
