Clash of Korean Culture with the Rest?

Saturday morning when I went to our grad school's kitchen preparing my breakfast, a girl, who is a Chinese junior visiting researcher (of Korean ethnicity), came in. She took out the cooking pots and put her towels and started boiling them. I and another Russian student told her to stop, since we cook our food in those pots. She said: this is Korean culture that you cook clothes in a pot and there is nothing unusual.It's O.K! I have lived with 2 Korean families and one of them used to cook clothes in a pot- but that pot was NOT USED for cooking. The girl kept arguing and finally did what she wanted to do and left. From the Blog theajmals سکندر نامی مسلحہ شخص کے حوالے سے 15 اگست کی شام سے رات تک 5 گھنٹے جاری رہ کر ختم ہونے والے واقعہ کے متعلق چند اُردو بلاگرز اظہارِ خیال کر چکے ہیں اسلئے سب کچھ دہرانے کی ضرورت نہیں ۔ میں صرف اس واقعہ کے تکنیکی اور اصولی پہلو واضح کرنے کی کوشش کروں گا سکندر کے ہاتھوں میں ایک سب مشین گن اور ایک آٹومیٹک رائفل تھی ۔ جس نے طبیعات (Physics) کا مضمون تھوڑا سا بھی پڑھا ہے وہ یہ تو جانتے ہوں گے کہ ہر عمل کے برابر اس کا ردِ عمل مخالف سمت میں ہوتا ہے (To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction) متذکرہ ہتھیاروں میں 39 ملی میٹر لمبے کارتوس استعمال ہوتے ہیں جن میں لگی گولی 18.2 گرام وزنی ہوتی ہے ۔ فائر کرنے پر یہ گولی 718 میٹر فی سیکنڈ کی رفتار سے ہتھیار کی نالی سے باہر نکلتی ہے ۔ یعنی یہ 18.2 ضرب 718 یعنی 13 کلو گرام سے زیادہ کا دھکا پیچھے کی طرف لگاتی ہے ۔ جب آٹو میٹک فائر کیpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
