#FemFuture: Looking to a feminist vision of the Middle East, through their needs
From the Blog opinionateit First, I agree with Lauren Rankin that we cannot speak for others when we view the feminist future; recently the tag #FemFuture on twitter, started a stir as people visualized their ideals for the women in the future. This, and a combinational of all the hype over FEMEN's anti-Islam protest, brings me to say, you cannot understand a woman, and her needs until you ask her yourself, until you walk in her shoes (combat boots, sandals, heels, etc). While I'm born and bred West Coast USA, I've spent the last 2 years abroad in the Middle East, studying culture, particularly women and leadership.
