He was shot six times while driving to drop his son off at school. His son, age 12, was executed with a single shot to the head. Tuesday, I attended a protest in front of the Governor's House in Lahore demanding that more be done to protect Pakistan's Shiites from sectarian extremists. These extremists are responsible for increasingly frequent attacks, including bombings this year that killed more than 200 people, most of them Hazara Shiites, in the city of Quetta. As I stood in the anguished crowd in Lahore, similar protests were being held throughout Pakistan. Roads were shut. Demonstrators blocked access to airports. From the Blog noorpamiri مارگلہ کے دامن میں واقع پاکستان کی خوبصورت اور جدید ترین شہر اسلام آباد مملکت خداداد کا دارالحکومت تو کافی عرصے سے تھا، لیکن اب عملی طور پر اسے صوبہ نما علاقہ گلگت بلتستان کا سرمائی صدر مقام بننے کا اعزاز بھی حاصل ہو گیا ہے۔ جی نہیں ایسا میں نہیں کہتا اور نہ ہی اس سلسلے میں کوئی نوٹیفیکیشن جاری ہوا ہے۔ ہاں ، ایسا لگتا ضرور ہے، کیونکہ گلگت بلتستان اسمبلی کے زیادہ تر ممبران، وزرا اور سپیکر و ڈپٹی سپیکر صاحبان سمیت وزیر اعلی اور گورنر صاحب بنفس نفیس اسلام آباد میں کافی عرصے سے موجود ہیں، بلکہ اس شہر نامراد میں ڈیرے ڈالے بیٹھے ہیں۔ اور ان کی دیکھا دیکھی گلگت بلتستان کے چیف سیکریٹری صاحب ، بعض سینیر بیورکریٹس اور بعض جونیر بیوروکریٹس بھی اسی دارالحکومت میں موجود رہتے ہیں ۔ ویسے بھی گلگت شہر میں شہدا کے مزاروں کے قریب رریائے ہنی سارا کا شور سننے اور اس چنار باغ میں رہنے کا کوئی خpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments
