True Stories – The Trend in Hollywood

From the Blog Eddy Straight From The Heart: True Stories – The Trend in Hollywood - The Oscars and the Golden Globes have shown that Hollywood has found an exceptional liking to true stories recently. Some of the biggest film in the past couple of years have been based on true events and have captured the audiences with their awesomeness. A true story can both be easy and hard to tell depending upon its nature and content. The simpler the story the more artwork it requires for it to be entertaining and gripping. True stories give an edge to the makers because the audiences associate with them at some level, but on the other hand they need to be spiced up for the entertainment level to be up there. A story like The Blind Side is too simple for an exact portrayal and hence the makers would have put some effort in plot formation and characterization to spruce it up. The Fighter on the other hand is all action packed and needs less effort to make it interesting. It however, needs some exceptional acting to stand out from all the sport oriented movies of the past! A true story like Secretariat gives the audience hope and belief. It shows you what can be done rather than what can be fantasized. You think, “If she could do it, I can too” and that is the victory of a true story. On the other hand films like All Good Things show you how twisted real life could be and you invariably start thanking nature for all the good it has given you. Hollywood has found the weak spot of audiences in their affinity for true events and success. More and more films are coming and doing great on the box office. True Stories are in short inspiring and the flavor of the time. . Read Full PostComments

The rumor did spread around Twitter and Tumblr & as usual people believed it & became panicky. The rumor started with a Weekly World News piece (it's a satire site) in which it was written that Mark Zuckerberg was stressed out by running the giant company. They wrote that Zuck said, “Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.” It has been reported that Facebook recently took a $50 million investment from Goldman Sachs. They’re hard at work and not about to quit. At the moment, there's nothing to worry about, if you're hooked to FB. But the comments on the write-up Facebook will end on March 15 th are really hilarious & more than 15,000 left comments. There's also a 'Save FB' petition. However, Mark Zuckerberg Facebook page has been hacked & the hacker even left a status in which he suggested the site should let people invest in it rather than banks. Interestingly, more than 1800 people liked the update before the company took down its page. . Read Full PostComments
