From the Blog Speak Your Mind!!!: Filmed at highest number of places Shakti - Jr.NTR's undershoot film 'Shakti' seems to be creating record to be shot at highest number of places in Telugu cinema. The film was shot in places like Ladakh, Jaipur, Haridwar, Kullu Manali , Hampi, Badami, Egypt and of course in and around Hyderabad. The film has wrapped up its schedule at Hampi and Badami yesterday and is gearing up for its final schedule at Annapoorna Studios. Ileana is playing the NTR's lady love in the film. Shakti is directed by Meher Ramesh of 'Kantri' and 'Billa' fame and produced by Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Ashwini dutt reported that he has not produced any Telugu movie in the past 35 years as lavishly as NTR's 'Shakti'. The producer opined that 'Shakti' will become a milestone for the whole team. . What also came between us is that she is such a strong personality…It’s a different matter though that she too tells me that I am a very strong personality’, jokes Ranveer who plays the role of a wedding planner along with Anushka in the film. Since Anushka already had two releases (RAB NE BANA DI JODI, BADMAASH COMPANY) and a complete film (PATIALA HOUSE) to her name, one does wonder whether that too played in Ranveer’s mind that made him a little inhibited. ‘Errrr, I would say it wasn’t inhibition but I was definitely apprehensive for sure’, says Ranveer after a little thinking, ‘What played on in my mind was that she had already acted with Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor. My film is completely based on Manini Chatterjee’s book ‘Do or Die’ “As to my imagination, Abhishek resembled the persona of Master Da (Surjyo Sen). We don’t have any footage or pictures of Master Da. So I imagined his body language and matched it with Abhishek. And the outcome is in front of you all. In short, the core of this film is the young generation who took revolution to the zenith”. Junior Bachchan sounded very excited on his new on-screen avatar of a freedom fighter. “Surjyo Sen is a natural hero. But such a great name has almost been forgotten. Sixty-four people showed resistance to the British rule, of which 55 were merely boys,” said Abhishek. “Master Da is an iconic figure and each and every one should know his fight to independence. So to me, Ashutosh Sir has completely done justice by making a film on such a legend.
