Many people, including his wife, fear that his four year term will turn into a death sentence. Fahem was arrested the day after he was released from the hospital, on charges of “belonging to a criminal organization” and “disseminating material liable to disturb public order.” These charges were brought up because he was doing his job, reporting violent labor protests in the Gafsa mining region of Tunisia in 2008. The government is a self-professed democracy, but is not allowing Fahem Boukadous the freedom to do his job. It’s time to let the Tunisian government know that the world is watching, and if they want to have the respect of the international community, they need to respect human rights and freedom of expression. Expect the best, Prepare for the worst. Failure is a word unknown to me. Islam expect every Muslim to do this duty, and if we realize our responsibility time will come soon when we shall justify ourselves worthy of a glorious past. My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation. No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you. No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men. Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large. Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope other will share with us. That freedom can never be attained by a nation without suffering and sacrifice has been amply borne out by the recent tragic happenings in this subcontinent. “> /> There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. And she now has a home. The (Alton) Telegraph reports that the pooch named Shelby has been adopted by Jeffrey Bray and his family in Chesterfield, Missouri, less than two weeks after the dog was found in Madison County with an arrow protruding from her. Emergency surgery saved the dog’s life, and the dog’s predicament caught the attention of Bray, an anesthesiologist at a St. Louis hospital. The Brays adopted the dog, having lost their 14-year-old Siberian husky last Christmas. Ban all kill shelters in Michigan 2. Change the state law (city ordinance) on number of dogs allowed in a home 3. Lower the price of adopting animals from shelters. WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER TO BAN ALL KILL SHELTERS. These animals have the right to live. What gives us the right to take their lives from them? It's not their fault that there are irresponsible humans in this world, so why should they have to pay the price with their lives. Which brings me to the 2nd part of my petition: THE STATE LAW NEEDS TO BE CHANGED AS TO HOW MANY ANIMALS YOU CAN OWN. Right now, the number of dogs you may own is 3, it ought to be changed, so that more people could provide homes to these animals. This is the link of the petition.
