A large number of tribal people from all the tribal agencies and Frontier Regions (FR) participated in the FATA Convention, arranged by Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) PML-Q Central General Secretary Senator Mushahid Hussain dismissed the government's claim as untrue that Pak-US Strategic Dialogue was a success and cited continuing drone attacks in support of his assertions. He said the rulers were not interested in solving the problems of people and were focusing on accumulating wealth. PML-Q Provincial President Ameer Muqam slammed the federal and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments for double standard and wrong policies. Muqam said the ruling parties had disappointed the people during their over two-year rule. He also criticised the MQM for cheating the poor by raising hollow slogans. He asked all parties to find a permanent solution to the Karachi crisis without wasting more time. Tribal leader Malik Muhammad Rehman said tribal people rendered sacrifices for Pakistan since its birth. He said drone attacks, military operations and curfews had made their lives miserable. Omar Abdullah's mea culpa: Pakistan cannot be ignored

From the Blog pakistanledger - Omar Abdullah's mea culpa: Pakistan cannot be ignored October 26th, 2010 Image via Wikipedia Even Omar Abdullah the puppet Chief Minister of Kashmir has acknowledged that the quagmire of Indian Occupied Kashmir cannot be resolved without the active participation and involvement in Kashmir. Supporting Centre-appointed interlocutors for their comments on involving Pakistan , Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said the neighbouring country has a role in Jammu and Kashmir which cannot be ignored. "Nothing what the interlocutors had said with regard to Pakistan's role in Jammu and Kashmir is wrong. After Shimla Agreement whenever talks were held with Pakistan, Kashmir has figured in it," he told reporters here. Parliament had passed a resolution in 1995 calling for withdrawal of Pakistani troops from PoK , Mr. Omar said on the sidelines of a function here. "Rightly or wrongly, is it not making Pakistan a party? Pakistan has a role in Jammu and Kashmir. How can you ignore it?" asked the Chief Minister. Reacting to BJP criticism of Dileep Padgaonkar, head of the interlocutors' team, for his comments, Mr. Omar said it was their habit to create an issue by listening to half the story. "(Then Prime Minister Atal Bihari) Vajpayee went to Lahore and spoke about resolution of Kashmir," he said. On Sunday, the BJP slammed Mr. Padgaonkar for his comments on involving Pakistan in resolution of the Kashmir issue and demanded the PMO to clarify if this was part of the brief of the team. Mr. Padgaonkar had stuck to his remarks saying what he had said about Pakistan was "obvious" and there was nothing new. Keywords: Kashmir dispute, interlocutors, Indo-Pak border dispute .
