Shahid Afridi to be dropped for Champions Trophy
From the Blog paknews  [image: Shahid Afridi]Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has  decided not to include all-rounder Shahid Afridi for the forthcoming  Champions Trophy, starting from June 6 in England.  According to sources the committee took the decision to drop Afridi with  the consent of team management.  The final team is expected to be announced today after the approval of  board chairman Zaka Ashraf, however, due to team manager Intikhab Alam's  busyness in fast bowling camp in Karachi, the announcement could be delayed  till tomorrow. From the Blog pkhope  In third world countries, elections render a country vulnerable. In order  to minimize this vulnerability, establishment in such countries manage the  elections. There are very few examples of free and fair elections in third  world countries including Pakistan, and whenever that or anything close to  that happens, countries either break or implode.    Pakistani establishment has awakened to this rude reality pretty late, but  as the elections are approaching; uneasiness is spreading very fast. The  only person who is relaxed and calm is President Asif Ali Zardari. He has  been ensured a second term in the office, and he knows that he can wait for  another five or so years to make his son Bilawal the Prime Minister of  Pakistan.
