#First1000Days Event
From the Blog noorsplaceI had been thinking to have a total blast for my weekend and it happened in more than one way: I had to go and see my newborn cousin who happens to be a lovely little girl (she hasn't been named yet and we're contemplating a cool name for her) + Nestle's #First1000Days event. I am going to write about my whole experience. Areeba and I reached the avenue, which was Pearl Continental Hotel, at the appropriate time. Not to mention, we are often late so I consider it a victory when we can make it on time, hah! Can we learn something from Sadiq Khan selection as Mayor candidate?
From the Blog hallopakistan *Google Image* *Pakistanis are surprised and excited about the news that Labour party nominated Mr. Sadiq Khan as candidate for London Mayor. He is son of a bus driver of Pakistani origin. There are many who criticized West for many things but can they quote a single example where a son of bus driver made Mayor of Lahore or Karachi or Peshawar or Rawalpindi etc. If you talk to them all of them would say it is not possible at least in current political system that any hard working self made person from lower middle class can become mayor of any big city. He can even not become general councilor as there is so much money and political backing needed which can't be afforded by middle class people. * *Google Image* *Though, we all love or biased when it comes to Muslim countriepakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
