High Court Orders PTA to Assist FIA in Evolving Mechanism to Curb Fake Social Media Accounts
From the Blog propakistani The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) to assist Federal Integrative Agency (FIA) to evolve a mechanism for curbing the fake social media accounts and bound the telecom company to provide IP address of the fake accounts to the agency. The court rules that assigning the IP address is the company's privilege but not at the cost of human life. The top court of the province issued these directions after hearing a petition filed by a lady school teacher, who desired the court not to reveal her identity. The court directed the concerned authorities to remove all obscene and objectionable materials relating to the petitioner within 15 days for.
