Gilgit: Awami Action Committee planning All Parties Conference on 28th Dec

From the Blog pamirtimes[image: IMG_7585]Our Correspondent Gilgit, December 21: The Awami Action Committee, which mobilized tens of thousands of people earlier this year for restoration of wheat subsidies, has said that efforts to implement taxation in the Gilgit-Baltistan region are illegal. They have said that leasing the region’s resources to outsiders is illegal and amounts to exploitation. Addressing a press conference in Gilgit today, leaders of the multi-party Awami Action Committee has said that a gathering of all parties will be organized on the 28th of December and the movement will push for implementation of a charter of demands that was agreed between the government and the committee.
