From the Blog umarqutb *Many restaurants and roadside dhabbas in Karachi carry on their walls a line in Urdu which reads 'Yahan par siyasi guftugoo karna mana hai' [political talk is not allowed]. The traditional Iranian restaurants spread over parts of the city, however, were those places where political debates over saffron or mint chai brought together an amalgamation of intellects – from poets to journalists to rebels with a cause.
