Maintaining respect of awliya
From the Blog ashrafiya [image: 20130814-102333.jpg] Hakim al Umma Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanawi (Allah have mercy on him) said, 'Negligence in maintaing etiquette (*adab*) of friends of Allah (*awliya*) is forbidden. Similar, and more worse, is the case of excessive and overenthusiastic attitude in this regards. This is because, it diminishes the status of Allah and the Prophet. For example, considering *awliya* to be '*Alim* *ul* *ghayib*' (having knowledge of 'unseen'*). This (assumption) necessitates unbelief (*kufr*). Allah says, Say, "No one in the heavens and the earth has the knowledge of the Unseen except Allah." [27:65] Say, "I do not say to you that I have the treasures of Allah, nor do I have the knowledge of the Unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. My truth should be judged by my viewers and many of those who have eagerly waited to hear the "The truth "that lead to my resignation from Samaa after 4 years. Long hard four years of work , when I think back it seems like a journey of a life time. My father always said " Don't speak too much truth its not worth it" in this male dominated society. I always laughed and in my 15 years of journalistic career it seems he was right. He passed away two years ago fearing everyday for my life. The city I love the most was burning everyday , and everyday someone I did not know died in target killing. From Independence to Dependence
From the Blog asadpiracha Sixty six years back on this very day a country named "Pakistan" came into being as a result of years of long struggle of Muslims of sub-continent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The purpose was to provide a peaceful place to all Muslims and Non-Muslims to live a happy life. On august 11, 1947 Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his address to the members of constituent assembly said: *"You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed — that has nothing to do with the business of the State...
