Nepra Cuts Power Tariff Rates By 31 Paisas
From the Blog propakistani NEPRA, the power sector regulator, has approved a cut of 31 paisas/unit for its revised electricity tariffs. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) approved the tariff reduction after hearing a petition filed by the Central Power Purchasing Agency. The power sector's regulator conducted a hearing on a petition filed by Central Power Purchasing Agency which sought a reduction in power tariff under the head of monthly fuel adjustment charges for the month of November. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) in its petition said that electricity production cost remained at Rs 4.71 per unit in November and that consumers were supplied electricity at the rate of Rs 5 per unit.
