From the Blog faizansworld *Introduction* Once during the colonial rule, a famous British writer visited the Hunza valley. Mr. James Hilton stayed there for sometime before publishing his best seller "the Lost Horizon." Many features of his mythical Shangri La resemble the Hunza. This valley is one of the very few mountainous settlements isolated from the rest of the world between some of the world's great mountains. For eight months, this place is difficult to reach either from Pakistan or China because of the heavy snowfall affecting the Karakoram Highway, a dangerous high altitude road and often referred as eight wonder of the world.
