A trek to Chitta Katha lake (Exploring Neelum valley & heavens of Kashmir) Final Part
From the Blog formerlydelirious The afternoon was dedicated to the visit of Shaunter lake. A dirt jeep trek lead to the lake from the village. It was an enjoyable hour long walk along a gradually ascending grade. On our way, we crossed a couple of lively fresh water falls that bisected the trek along its twists and turns. Located at the verge of a vast plain along the base of high mountains, Shaunter lake is a surreal spoon shaped aquifer surrounded by abundance of colourful wild flowers that mark its bank and periphery. Beautiful Shaunter lake [image: Flowery banks of the lake] Flowery banks of the lake The hike to the picturesque Chitha Katha lake started from Domail early next morning. We crossed the bridge at half past six and took a narrow trek that descended quickly along the stream. Walking on a precapakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
A full bite
From the Blog thinkinglifeandyou Today I visited with my beloved husband ... A Dentist ! After little check up (which is for beloved husband) both of us with Dentist went to his office.. hmm....it was a nice scene behind his office chair..I saw it with aww.... He had decorated all kind of teeth with gums (which must be plastic made . . . I mean not original ) on the wall with caption and sizes printed in small white plates beneath every set. I tried to take a selfie but seeing that my beloved husband after having removed his tooth ....not in the least mood of showing any enthusiasm to the dentist I kept the notion with me and move a bit away from the gentlemen talking about what to do next and how to prevent remaining teeth.... Suddenly a thought came into my little brain... hmm....at a certain age....not all pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post

Defending Digital Freedoms in Pakistan
From the Blog sonyarehman *By Sonya Rehman* This year, one of TIME’s Next Generation Leaders, Nighat Dad, a young Pakistani activist and lawyer based in the city of Lahore, is one of the most significant voices in the country in creating awareness amongst Pakistani women about cyber crimes and cyber harassment. Having founded her not-for-profit, Digital Rights Foundation (DRF) a few years ago, Dad, also a member of Amnesty International’s Advisory Council on Human Rights and Technology, not only focuses her work on coaching Pakistani women about online harassment, but also works on Internet governance in a country where freedom of speech via the Internet has been consistently curtailed and restricted; one major example being the ongoing ban on YouTube by the Pakistani government since 2012. Indian extremists threaten umpire
From the Blog mtrtmk Hindu extremists threaten a Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar, vowing to stop him officiating an ODI between India and South Africa. What is the ICC’s reaction? Absolutely Nothing. Disgraceful. Not a surprise, though. After all ICC has been hijacked by India and the self proclaimed “Big Three”. Update: ICC has decided to withdraw Aleem Dar from the series. Absolutely shameful by BCCI & ICC. Aleem Dar was not in India as a PCB official, but as a representative of the International Cricket Council. So, what is the bottom line? What is the message being sent? If violence is threatened towards match officials, we will bend over backwards to accommodate the thugs and criminals. ICC has chosen to side with the Hindu terrorists. Shame on India, Shame on BCCI, Shame on ICC. pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
