India: Fatehpur Sikri - Past and Present
From the Blog iamzeeshanIn 2014 I visited Fatehpur Sikri, situated on the outskirts of Agra, India. Though I had visited the site before, but the experience this time around was more intellectually rewarding than the previous ones because of the insight I had gathered through the years. It added to the fascination I have with the Mughal Empire and the old Hindustan. Buland Darwaza Fatehpur Sikri was a city which was founded in the middle 16th century. The city was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar, the grandson of the founder of Mughal Empire, Babur.
