From threats of cross-border strikes from an Indian minister to Pakistan’s Defence Minister declaring our arms are not meant for decoration, from Indian Prime Minister Modi’s bombastic anti-Pakistan statements in Bangladesh to our military establishment’s accusations about Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, the war of words between Indian and Pakistani leaders had certainly reached a crescendo. Such level of hysteria is not unknown between the two neighbours but this time around, there was a sense of betrayal in this warmongering hysteria. No NGO to be allowed to work in GB, Fata, says Nisar
From the Blog pamirtimes[image: nisar]ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that no non-governmental organisation would be allowed to work in FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and other declared security zones. He said the registration, monitoring and security clearance of all non-governmental organizations would now be done by the Interior Ministry. “Decision has been taken by the Prime Minister in the light of a report prepared by a Committee headed by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi,” he said while speaking to media in Islamabad. He said there would be a transparent accountability system detailing sources of funding and objectives of the NGO. The minister said the government would encourage NGOs for self-regulatory system. How has the financial landscape for MSBs changed since you started working in this industry? The industry over the past few years has become more *regulated*. Oversight has increased, so have the baseline (floor) parameters needed to enter this sector. Whether or not this is good or bad, only time will tell. There is a constant struggle between the Regulator and the MSB as to *how much* regulation is acceptable. Finding the sweet spot is now the bone of contention between the regulator and the regulated.
