The Holocaust and Israel's Occupation
From the Blog the-emo-wolverine-writes I had a #GazaUnderAttack profile picture set which resulted in the question of "What's this?" by someone who was not aware of the Israel-Palestine conflict. I told them a little about it and I got the response of "Well, I'd rather like having bombs raining down in my city. Much flashier way of dying than suicide" The level of apathy among some people I've seen is astonishing. How could you downgrade an assault on such a wide scale down like this? Do you not understand what it means when people die and others sit around watching? I mean, sure, there are a lot of other incidents where there are war crimes and atrocities are going on, but just because it's not happening to you doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
