From the Blog theajmals

Pakistani Media Wars

From the Blog cybegeekI represent the common man. Lot has been said about the recent events by those who claim to represent the sensibilities of the common man, but these analysis feel quiet biased and sometimes outright lunacy specially when some are clearly trying to advance their own agendas thus ending up being the laughing stock of all those who witness & can see beyond the farce. The problem is the society's tendency to accept whatever is presented as true, if the voice is louder than the rest and the facts & claims presented are absurdly outlandish. All that's needed is a little spoon feeding a throat that can yell as hard as it can and an audience conditioned to obey. The more absurd and provocative the claims the more credible the presenter and the channels become. No one has the time or the pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments

Ghazal

From the Blog saadil Below here is my first experiment with something of a ghazal form in English; I am not much aware of the nuances of ghazal writing in English but am excited about it being the first draft :) What is wrong with your memory O' Mardan You've ceased to be my sanctuary O' Mardan I, the frost-bitten of a heart am often numb Your warmth is my therapy O' Mardan Your ruins define you more than your buildings Would you please change your story O' Mardan Your days are dour and blinding dusty Yet your nights are twinkling starry O' Mardan Your bazaars hammer me with cacophony For my heart you are a tranquil melody O' Mardan pakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full PostComments
