China Develops iOS, Android Rival
From the Blog asian-defenceChina has developed its own mobile operating system aimed at easing the stranglehold of the Google and Apple, even as sceptics doubt its efficacy. Dubbed as the* China Operating System (COS)* it is a strategic product for national security which has become more urgent in the wake of recent incidents such as the US intelligence scandal of Prism and Windows ending further support of its XP system, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) said in a statement. Similar to the interface on* Google's Android* and* Apple's iOS*, the Chinese system can be used on touch-screen phones and serves as a platform for various apps, it can already support up to a lakh of apps, claimed CAS and its partner, Shanghai-based Liantong Network Communication Technology. Resilience
From the Blog shaistathinks What is human resilience? I watched this video via facebook timeline and it reminded me of so many reasons yet again to be thankful to God. The girl in this video, who lost her leg but not her spirits and zest for life, defines human resilience. As do all the people who are fighting some sort of battle each day – be it a medical condition, a loss of a loved one, or affected by any other calamity. Human resilience seems to know no bounds! It can go as far as we push ourselves! That is the thing about this mystery called life. Glory in life, as Nelson Mandela said, lies not in rising – but in rising every time we fall! Me VS. the Universe
