The historic manipulation of religion by the state for political purposes has sowed the seeds of hateful intra-religious sectarian division. Sectarian violence is not only pervasive, it also accentuates divisions within Pakistan and underlines the ineptness of the government and security services in stemming this phenomenon. During the last 35 years, thousands of people, mostly from minority sects, have been killed and thousands more maimed in attacks by zealots from rival sects in Pakistan. From the Blog cricnamaدنیا کی سب سے بڑی کرکٹ لیگ 'انڈین پریمیئر لیگ' میں پاکستانی کھلاڑیوں کی عدم شرکت کا معاملہ کافی طول پکڑ چکا ہے اور اس پر اتنی بحث ہوچکی ہے کہ اب شاید خود پاکستانی بھی نہیں چاہتے کہ قومی کھلاڑی اس لیگ میں کھیلیں لیکن آفرین ہو پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کو جو اب بھی بھارت سے توقعات لگائے بیٹھا ہے کہ وہ آئندہ سیزن میں پاکستانی کھلاڑیوں کو مدعو کرے گا۔ بھارتی اخبار ٹائمز آف انڈیا نے پی سی بی کے ایک نامعلوم عہدیدار کے حوالے سے بتایا ہے کہ مارچ 2014ء میں بنگلہ دیش میں ہونے والے ورلڈ ٹی ٹوئنٹی کے بعد 6 ماہ تک قومی کھلاڑیوں کے لیے کوئی طے شدہ کرکٹ نہیں ہے ، اس لیے پاکستانی کھلاڑی آئی پی ایل میں کھیلنے کے لیے دستیاب ہوں گے۔ انہوں نے امید کا اظہار کیا کہ پاک-بھارت کرکٹ تعلقات میں سالوں کی سردمہری کےبعد اب جو گرمجوشی دکھائی دے رہی ہے اس سے توقع ہے کہ قومی کھلاڑیوں پر آئی پی ایل کے دروازے بھی کھلیں گpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
Intel Awards Ceremony Held In Lahore
From the Blog telecompk Intel Education Awards Ceremony was arranged by Intel Pakistan in Lahore on November 28, 2013. The event was held under the banner of Intel Education. Secretary Education, Mr. Abdul Jabbar Shaheen attended as the chief guest. The awards are held annually in Pakistan to emphasize the importance of technology in class room and recognizes teachers with extraordinary achievements in the said field. The event recognized the brilliant performance in technology integration by teachers and schools across Pakistan. 15 participants were given awards to recognize their extraordinary achievements in implementing technology to leverage inquiry-based learning.
