The Partition debate

Some commentators have described the partition as neither inherently desirable nor necessary feasible but tragically inevitable. They attribute this to the Congress and Muslim League's incompatible visions for India, which led to deadlock in talks forcing the British to impose a solution. Others suggest that the partition was a crude and unthinking form of gerrymandering with tragic consequences leading to a permanent poisoning of Hindu-Muslim relations. From the Blog cricnamaویوین رچرڈز کے نزدیک دفاع کا بہترین طریقہ جارحیت تھا اور عظیم بیٹسمین کا پورا کیرئیر اس کی عملی مثال ہے جنہوں نے کبھی بھی باؤلرز کو خود پر حاوی نہیں ہونے دیا ۔80ء کے عشرے میں اسی جارح مزاجی ویسٹ انڈیز کو عالمی کرکٹ کی سپر پاور بنایا اور پھر آسٹریلیا نے بھی یہی انداز اپنا کر طویل عرصے تک حکمرانی کی جبکہ ماضی میں پاکستانی ٹیم بھی جارحانہ اپروچ کی حامل تھی مگر موجودہ پاکستانی ٹیم میں اس رویے کا فقدان دکھائی دے رہا اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ پرفارمنس کا عدم تسلسل بھی قومی ٹیم کو اٹھنے نہیں دیتا ۔ ابوظہبی میں پاکستانی ٹیم نے عالمی درجہ بندی میں سرفہرست جنوبی افریقہ کو پچھاڑا تو اسے بہت بڑی کامیابی تصور کیا گیا اور یہ جیت واقعی بہت بڑی اور یادگار تھی کیونکہ پاکستان نے ایسی ٹیم کو شکست دی تھی جسے لگ بھگ دو برسوں میں کوئی ہرا نہیں سکا تھا ۔ پاکستان کی اس کامیابی کے بہت سے مثبت پہلو تھے جسے ابوظpakistanblogs.blogspot.comRead Full Post
