Japan unveiled world's fastest supercomputer "K"

From the Blog PakistanLiveNews - Japan unveiled "K" the world s fastest supercomputer and reclaimed its number one title from China. The supercomputer was recognized as the world's fastest computer last week at the International Supercomputing Conference in Hamburg, Germany, where it beat last year s fastest supercomputer, China s Tianhe-1A. Advance Institute of Computational Science head, Kimihiko Hirao said that 'K' was unlikely to be rivaled for a while as it has topped the top 500 supercomputers of the world. The second fastest computer is China's Tiahe-1A. 'K' can undertake 8.162 quadrillion calculations . Read Full PostComments
