Pakistani government issues notice to The Terrorland
From the Blog THE TERRORLAND: Pakistani government issues notice to The Terrorland - . Pakistani Prime Minister Gilani AFTER VEILED and indirect threats, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has formally moved in to stop the voice of journalist Habib R. Sulemani by twisting the Pakistani laws in its typical way. The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (Moitt), whose in-charge is no-one else but Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani himself, sent an email notice to the moderators of The Terrorland Google Group on October 12, 2010, saying that its Symantec Mail Security has detected “prohibited content” in our message. It's more than a month since we got the notice and some sources in the government say that the officials could make arrests anytime. And since then we’re waiting for the worst in this militarized and Talibanized country officially known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan! What kind of "prohibited content" the government found in our message? Actually, it was a blog published here in our group blogs a day earlier on October 11, 2010. It was a contributor's personal view in the footstep of Sigmund Freud. However, there was a one-liner news item about a journalist, Umer Cheema, who had been kidnapped and tortured allegedly by the ISI ( Why ISI uses sex as a warfare tool in Pakistan?) Here is the notice issued to us by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (Moitt): From: administrator@moitt.gov.pk Date: Tue, Oct 12, 2010 at 11:53 AM Subject: Symantec Mail Security detected prohibited content in a message sent from your address (SYM:07859784571598257556) To: hrwriter@gmail.com Subject of the message: Why ISI uses sex as a warfare tool in Pakistan? Recipient of the message: “THE TERRORLAND” . After this notice from the federal government, late in that evening, sources say that there was a knock at the door of Mr. Sulemani. When his brother opened the door there was a man from the Dawn Media Group. "The administration has stopped delivery of the honorary copy of Dawn at you home from today," the man informed. "The Editor ( Dawn ) may have fired your brother (Mr. Sulemani) from his job (as a sub-editor)!" Meanwhile, sources claim that the Dawn Media Group – after failure in its carrot-and-stick approach regarding Mr. Sulemani's stance to take legal action against Editor Dawn Zaffar Abbas and his co-accused ( Mr Jinnah’s Dawn in danger ) – has sent a "deceitful letter" to Mr. Sulemani, trying to further pressurize him to abandon his demand for justice. It's ironic that the secret agencies and the administration of the Pakistan Herald Publications (Private) Limited ( Dawn ) have opened parallel frontiers against Mr. Sulemani and his distressed family. The family has sought security and action against the culprits in letters to the Pakistani high command ( Journalist seeks protection ) but still the democratically elected government is silent. However, a line of our blog has brought the Prime Minster of the nuclear power into action suddenly. What a shame! Link: . Read Full Post
