Of heroes and good tea!
From the Blog Kanwalful meets world: Of heroes and good tea! - Even though I generally use this blog to criticize everything and anything that I disapprove of, today I have something I approve of! Finally. So as it turns out, we Pakistani students are not AS hopeless and idiotic as I sometimes think we are. We are actually enthusiastic, passionate, willing to learn, helpful and almost all the nice words that can potentially be associated with the word ‘student’. I am saying all of the above sugary things in reference to the enthusiasm displayed by a certain team in a contest sponsored by a multinational. So this tea brand is sponsoring an event in which they select two teams from every school to participate in a larger contest and each team is supposed to come up with a marketing strategy and WHAT NOT to propagate the brand and get consumers involved. The team from my campus- known as Lipton Heroes – is doing an A-mazing job! And me saying that really means SOMETHING! I see these five kids toiling endlessly, with the little budget that they got, to get people excited and involved in the most innovative of activities. And they seem to do it with grace and passion. They are not putting down the other team from the same college – IBA – but instead working their own strengths to get to the top. And they are really getting there! For me, I am not the kind of person who gets involved in Facebook activities and the like – BUT what I do enjoy is seeing people work for a purpose! Constructive activity. A much needed task for this intellectually and constructive-activity deprived nation. So yeah – go LIPTON HEROES ! We love your bungee-jumping enthusiasm. Keep it up. Also, I would LOVE for all my readers to support these guys. All you have to do is go on their Facebook page – CLICK HERE – and LIKE their page! That little click just might help them get to where they want to. Thanks ya’all. =) . Read Full Post
